FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, September 25, 2014… Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC), a unique Fresno nonprofit founded in 2008 to benefit other local nonprofits in the community, has announced that they are now accepting applications from Fresno County nonprofit organizations that have services and programs targeting women and children to serve as the beneficiary for their 2015 fundraising event.
PINC raised a landmark $50,000 at its 6th annual fundraising event this past June for their 2014 beneficiary, Transitions Children’s Services, a relatively new non-profit whose purpose is to provide quality, culturally competent foster care treatment and extended foster care services to children, families and non-minor dependents in the child welfare and foster care system. The charity offers foster and extended foster care services, a High School Graduation scholarship for foster care program participants, and is expanding to become licensed as an adoption agency. PINC will be accepting applications for their potential 2015 beneficiary. Applications are now available on their website at www.pincfresno.org. Applications will be accepted until midnight on Monday, October 20, 2014. All applications must be either submitted by e-mail to [email protected]. or mailed to P.O. Box 3413, Pinedale, CA 93650. No late applications will be accepted; no exceptions. Proof of 501(c)3 must be submitted with application. Applicants can expect to receive a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of their submission. The top three nonprofit applicants as selected by the PINC Board will be notified and invited to present their organization to the entire PINC membership at the November meeting. General membership will then vote to choose one nonprofit beneficiary. The 2015 beneficiary will be announced in late November 2014. First established six years ago, PINC and its members have accomplished great things in the community. Since 2009, PINC has raised $189,500 through its annual fundraising events benefitting Angel Babies of Hinds Hospice ($15,000), Marjaree Mason Center ($25,000), Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central California ($35,000), Break the Barriers ($28,000), Catholic Charities – Diocese of Fresno ($36,500), and Transitions Children’s Services ($50,000). “PINC welcomes beneficiary applications for our 7th annual fundraising event and looks forward to supporting those in need in the coming year,” said Analiese Domingos, Founder & Current President of PINC. “We are excited to once again have the opportunity to make a lasting difference for one of the numerous agencies that works so diligently to serve the women and children in need throughout our community.” DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION HERE
