Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC) to Hold its 2nd Annual PINC Open Tennis Tournament on April 25
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, April 8 2015… Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC), a unique Fresno nonprofit founded in 2008 to benefit other local nonprofits in the community, has announced its 2nd Annual PINC Open Tennis Tournament will be held at Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club on Saturday, April 25. Matches will begin at 12 p.m. and last until 5 p.m. Registration is currently open and tennis players of all levels are welcomed. Cost is $35 per person or $70 per team. Individuals who register as singles will be partnered with a player of similar caliber. The tournament will be broken up into Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles, as well as according to NTRP rankings. Players must register online at www.PINCFresno.org. Registration will close on April 22. As with everything PINC does, this tennis tournament will be unique and fun. Enjoy music, food, raffle items and more! Naturally pink tennis balls will be used at the tournament. All funds raised at the 2nd Annual PINC Open Tennis Tournament will go towards the year-round efforts of PINC to give back to Fresno County non-profits focused on women and children. Last year, the inaugural PINC Open Tennis Tournament drew 45 teams and had a great crowd cheering on the competitors. This year PINC hopes to get even more teams to enter, continuing to raise funds to help the organization give back year round. “There was such an incredible response to the PINC Open Tennis Tournament last year both from participants, as well as fans coming out to cheer the teams on that we knew we had to hold the tournament again this year,” said Annie Domingos, Current President & Founder of PINC. “We encourage tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels to sign up today. This is a wonderful opportunity to have some fun and give back to our community.”

Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC), a Fresno-based nonprofit with a mission of helping other nonprofits, announced that Holy Cross Center for Women will be the beneficiary of its June 6 fundraiser.
Since 2009, PINC has raised a total of $189,500 through its annual fundraising events that have benefitted groups including Transitions Children's Services last year, Catholic Charities Diocese of Fresno in 2013 and Break the Barriers in 2012. Since 1984, Saint Agnes Holy Cross Center for Women, based in downtown Fresno, has served as a refuge for homeless and underserved women and their children. The funds from PINC will be used to support summer programs for children at the center. LINK TO ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE ON THE BUSINESS JOURNAL FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, September 25, 2014… Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community (PINC), a unique Fresno nonprofit founded in 2008 to benefit other local nonprofits in the community, has announced that they are now accepting applications from Fresno County nonprofit organizations that have services and programs targeting women and children to serve as the beneficiary for their 2015 fundraising event.
PINC raised a landmark $50,000 at its 6th annual fundraising event this past June for their 2014 beneficiary, Transitions Children’s Services, a relatively new non-profit whose purpose is to provide quality, culturally competent foster care treatment and extended foster care services to children, families and non-minor dependents in the child welfare and foster care system. The charity offers foster and extended foster care services, a High School Graduation scholarship for foster care program participants, and is expanding to become licensed as an adoption agency. PINC will be accepting applications for their potential 2015 beneficiary. Applications are now available on their website at www.pincfresno.org. Applications will be accepted until midnight on Monday, October 20, 2014. All applications must be either submitted by e-mail to [email protected]. or mailed to P.O. Box 3413, Pinedale, CA 93650. No late applications will be accepted; no exceptions. Proof of 501(c)3 must be submitted with application. Applicants can expect to receive a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of their submission. The top three nonprofit applicants as selected by the PINC Board will be notified and invited to present their organization to the entire PINC membership at the November meeting. General membership will then vote to choose one nonprofit beneficiary. The 2015 beneficiary will be announced in late November 2014. First established six years ago, PINC and its members have accomplished great things in the community.
